Who to play with Norra — best team synergies

The champions Norra works best alongside on the Wild Rift China server, lane by lane, with the reason each pairing works.

Best Baron partners for Norra

Norra + Malphite Best pairing

Your page says charging Memory Surge (Q) slows you and telegraphs the shot: after Unstoppable Force (R) they are floored and bunched, so you charge it in safety and the four bolts of Portalpalooza! (R) line up through all of them.

Norra + Shen Strong

You are stationary, slowed and visible while charging, and that is exactly when they dive you: Shadow Dash (E) taunts the assassin from range before he gets there, and Stand United (R) shields you from anywhere on the map.

Norra + K'Sante Strong

All Out (R) knocks their carry away from its team and roots it: isolated and held still is exactly the sequence your page asks for, Threads of Homecoming (E) and then a fully charged Memory Surge (Q) on an enlarged target.

Norra + Ornn Strong

Every opening he owns is a knock-up: Searing Charge (E) into terrain, Call of the Forge God (R) across the whole group. Those are the windows where you can hold Memory Surge (Q) to full charge with nobody punishing you.

Norra + Gnar Situational

Worth it where walls are close by: GNAR! (R) into terrain becomes a full stun and Wallop (W) adds 1.25 seconds of area stun. In open ground it is half an ultimate, and you are left without the lockdown your charge needs.

Best Jungle partners for Norra

Norra + Rammus Best pairing

Frenzying Taunt (E) nails a target in place for its full duration: that is a fully charged Memory Surge (Q) on someone who cannot move, right after Threads of Homecoming (E). And he is the body that intercepts whoever would dive you.

Norra + Warwick Strong

Infinite Duress (R) suppresses: the target cannot walk, dash or cast anything for a full second. That is precisely the time you need to mark it with Threads of Homecoming (E) and dump a fully charged Memory Surge (Q) on it.

Norra + Xin Zhao Strong

Crescent Guard (R) knocks back everyone except his marked target and blocks ranged damage: that is the peel an immobile mage needs the instant an assassin lands, which is what your page calls the way you die.

Norra + Amumu Strong

Your damage is almost entirely magic and Cursed Touch (P) makes it carry true damage: the max-HP part of Memory Surge (Q) gains the most against tanks. And Curse of the Sad Mummy (R) lines the group up for Portalpalooza! (R).

Norra + Diana Situational

Moonfall (R) drags everyone into one pile, which is perfect for the four bolts of Portalpalooza! (R). But you are both magic damage: against a team that buys magic resist early the pairing loses a lot, so you need physical damage around you.

Best Duo (ADC) partners for Norra

Norra + Ashe Best pairing

Enchanted Crystal Arrow (R) stuns from off-screen for up to 3.5 seconds: that is the window where the full Memory Surge (Q) charge, which normally exposes you, costs you nothing. And Frost Shot (P) slows anyone drifting off your line on every hit.

Norra + Jhin Strong

Deadly Flourish (W) roots anyone an ally has just damaged: a Beloved Trinkets (P) proc or Threads of Homecoming (E) arms it from range. And on a rooted target Curtain Call (R) gets all the way to its fourth shot.

Norra + Kog'Maw Strong

His page says any dive that reaches him ends the fight, and he owns no dash at all: Journey to Nowhere (W) removes the assassin from the game for 1.5 seconds, and that is peel nobody else can hand him.

Norra + Varus Strong

Chain of Corruption (R) roots a whole cluster from screen-wide range: that is when the four bolts of Portalpalooza! (R) run through five stationary bodies, and you get to choose who eats the empowered fourth.

Norra + Samira Situational

Worth it if somebody else is the frontline: Journey to Nowhere (W) removes for 1.5 seconds the enemy crowd control that her page says stops her before she even gets going. But neither of you brings a shield and you are as fragile as she is.

Best Support partners for Norra

Norra + Morgana Best pairing

Dark Binding (Q) roots for two seconds, longer than a full Memory Surge (Q) charge takes: that is the flaw written on your page, erased. And Black Shield (E) absorbs the crowd control that catches you while you are still charging.

Norra + Thresh Strong

Death Sentence (Q) rips a target out of their formation and hands it to you held still, and The Box (R) shuts the exits. The Dark Passage (W) lantern is then the only escape you will ever have, since all you own is a small backward hop.

Norra + Leona Strong

The Zenith Blade (E) root into the Shield of Daybreak (Q) stun is worth more than two seconds, and Solar Flare (R) opens the fight from range: those are the long holds a fully charged Memory Surge (Q) demands.

Norra + Braum Strong

Your page says your survivability is close to nothing: Unbreakable (E) intercepts projectiles and cuts damage by 35%, and Stand Behind Me (W) hands you armour and magic resist exactly while you stand still to charge.

Norra + Lulu Situational

Against a dive composition it changes the game: Whimsy (W) polymorphs the assassin the instant he lands and Rampant Growth (R) knocks him off while giving you bonus health. Against ranged poke, though, it barely does anything for you.

How to play Norra — Wild Rift guide, combos & tips

Norra is a burst mage in Wild Rift built entirely around setup-and-punish: an unseen trinket from her passive and the size-changing Thread Mark from her E combine to unlock a huge bonus on a fully charged Memory Surge (Q). She deals almost pure magic damage, has very little raw survivability, and rewards players who like reading a fight and landing skillshots rather than just clicking off cooldown. Land the combo and she deletes a squishy in one rotation; miss it, and she's mostly a slow, fragile poke mage waiting for her next window.

Strengths

  • Enormous burst once the Thread Mark lands — Memory Surge's passive adds 1-2.5% of the target's max HP as bonus magic damage, so she threatens tanks almost as much as squishies.
  • Journey to Nowhere (W) is a premium peel and pick tool — it fully removes a target from the fight (no attacks, no casts) for 1.5 seconds, then slows hard when they return.
  • Her passive Keepsake trinket adds free poke and constant lane pressure, and landing any basic ability on a champion cuts its cooldown by 20%, keeping the combo loop running.
  • Portalpalooza! (R) can chain up to 4 aimed bolts through a fight, slowing and damaging everyone caught in the line, with the final bolt hitting hardest.

Weaknesses

  • Very low survivability — beyond a small backward hop while over-charging Memory Surge, she has no real escape, so getting caught usually means dying.
  • Most of her real damage depends on the Thread Mark or a triggered trinket landing first; without a mark, Memory Surge is decent poke but not a kill threat.
  • Charging Memory Surge slows her by 20-30% and telegraphs the cast, giving sharp opponents a window to engage or interrupt her mid-channel.
  • Struggles hard against dive comps and gap-closing assassins, since she has little built-in protection once someone actually reaches her.

Combos

  • E → Q (full charge) — Threads of Homecoming's mark enlarges the target, then a fully charged Memory Surge cashes in the bonus max-HP damage on top of its own burst for her core kill combo.
  • Bait the trinket → Q — let an unwary enemy walk into the hidden Keepsake trinket for the free proc and mark, then follow up with Memory Surge once they're enlarged.
  • W → E → Q — banish the target with Journey to Nowhere to freeze them in place, line up Threads of Homecoming for the moment they return, then finish with Memory Surge for a reliable long-range pick.
  • R → Q — in a teamfight, walk Portalpalooza!'s four chained bolts through as many enemies as possible, save the empowered fourth bolt for the priority target, then clean up with Memory Surge if they're still standing.

Skill order: Q > E > W — level Portalpalooza! (R) whenever it's available

Early game

Poke with a partial-charge Memory Surge rather than always holding for max value — a full channel slows you and telegraphs the shot, which is a bad trade if the enemy can just walk out of range or engage on you. Save Threads of Homecoming for moments the enemy commits to a fight or overextends onto minions: the mark and slow it applies turn your next Memory Surge into real damage instead of chip poke, and the Keepsake trinket left behind by your first cast each cycle punishes anyone who gets careless around it. Look for your first real kill window once you've got Luden's Echo online and a comfortable charge rhythm down, then use it to force a trade rather than sitting back for the whole laning phase.

Mid & late game — teamfighting

From the mid game on, play Norra like backline artillery: hold max range, throw Threads of Homecoming into a grouped fight to mark and enlarge a priority target, then keep Memory Surge charged behind your frontline and only release it once you have a clean read on an isolated squishy or that marked target. Save Journey to Nowhere to remove the single biggest threat to your team for 1.5 seconds — pulling a diving assassin or a fed carry out of the fight — or to protect yourself the moment someone finally closes the gap on you. Portalpalooza! is a genuine fight-swinging ultimate: drag its four chained bolts through as many enemies as you can line up, and save the empowered fourth bolt for whoever you most need dead.

Pro tips

  • Don't reflexively hold Memory Surge for max charge on the first target you see — the extra self-slow and the backward hop on release are real risks, so only commit once you're confident the bolt connects.
  • Sequence Threads of Homecoming before Memory Surge whenever you can; the enlarged-target bonus is what turns Q from solid poke into a real kill threat, especially into tankier targets.
  • Use Journey to Nowhere as a defensive reflex, not just an offensive one — banishing a diver for 1.5 seconds is often exactly enough time for your team to peel or for you to walk away.
