The toughest lane matchups for Zeri on the Wild Rift China server, with why each is hard and exactly how to play it.
Why Caitlyn counters Zeri: She taxes you from 200 extra range while your early game limps: the lane is an uphill start.
How to play Zeri into Caitlyn: Farm with Q from behind minions and steal energy from shields. Survive the plates: from 3 items the game inverts.
→ CaitlynWhy Draven counters Zeri: Your weak early against his monstrous one: every pre-item trade is a loan from a shark.
How to play Zeri into Draven: Zero pride: farm and escape with wall jumps. Your late game humiliates him, and his tilt is a resource: give him no kills.
→ DravenWhy Ashe counters Zeri: Her slow is the only brake on your speed: one hit and your identity vanishes for two seconds.
How to play Zeri into Ashe: Never run a straight line against her Volley. R after SHE spends hers: your storm after their engage cleans everything.
→ AsheWhy Jhin counters Zeri: Roots and traps trying to nail down the only thing you know how to do: move.
How to play Zeri into Jhin: Irregular paths, ALWAYS: never the same line twice. Punish his reload with the Q empowered by a stolen shield.
→ JhinWhy Vayne counters Zeri: Two gigantic late games: she shreds tanks, you sweep fights. Whoever reaches the third item first is in charge.
How to play Zeri into Vayne: Never duel her standing still: hit and orbit. In 5v5s work the opposite side from hers: two hypercarries do not share a stage.
→ VayneThe champions Zeri works best alongside on the Wild Rift China server, lane by lane, with the reason each pairing works.
Volcanic Rupture (Q) plants a lava wall where there was nothing: that is the terrain Ultrashock Laser (W) needs to detonate as a critting AoE, instead of staying the plain single-target shot it is without walls.
Unstoppable Force (R) bunches their whole team into one spot: Ultrashock Laser (W), the piercing attacks from Spark Surge (E) and the Lightning Crash (R) nova all catch the group instead of one target at a time.
GNAR! (R) slams the group into terrain and stuns them right there: enemies frozen against a wall are the exact condition that turns Ultrashock Laser (W) into an AoE nuke instead of an ordinary shot.
Once Spark Surge (E) is on cooldown you have nothing left: no peel, no crowd control of your own. Stand United (R) shields you from across the map and Shadow Dash (E) taunts whoever already reached you.
Cataclysm (R) seals a target inside a ring of terrain: not only can they not leave, that wall goes wherever you need it, and it is the surface you detonate Ultrashock Laser (W) against even in the middle of a lane.
Curse of the Sad Mummy (R) freezes a whole group for a second and a half: Lightning Crash (R) extends with every hit that lands, and against stunned, bunched-up targets you don't miss a single one.
Frenzying Taunt (E) takes over the assassin who reached you: with Spark Surge (E) on cooldown you have no answer of your own, and Powerball (Q) carries him across half the map in time to matter.
Lamb's Respite (R) buys three seconds where nobody can die: you spend them landing hits, and every hit refunds duration on Lightning Crash (R). That is the long fight your whole kit is built around.
Weaver's Wall (R) raises a wall in the middle of a fight, where there is no terrain at all: from then on Ultrashock Laser (W) detonates as a critting AoE. And Unraveled Earth (E) stuns anyone dashing at you.
Slows and roots switch your entire kit off, because you live on movement: Black Shield (E) blocks them before they land. It is the one thing that stops an Ashe or a Jhin from taking you out of the game.
Command: Shockwave (R) drags scattered enemies into a single point: the piercing attacks from Spark Surge (E) and Ultrashock Laser (W) then run through the whole line. Command: Protect (E) shields you meanwhile.
Hero's Entrance (R) lands on top of you with a shield and knocks up everyone who had surrounded you: that is the answer to being caught with Spark Surge (E) on cooldown, which is the only way you ever die.
Ring of Frost (W) roots everything around her and Frozen Tomb (R) pins the priority target: those are the frozen seconds where Lightning Crash (R) keeps extending itself hit after hit.
Inspire (E) empowered by Mantra (P) is a shield plus move speed: it keeps you on target, and every hit you land shortens Spark Surge (E) and extends Lightning Crash (R). Your kit runs on movement.
Song of Celerity (E) is move speed for the whole team on every rotation, and you convert it into landed hits; Aria of Perseverance (W) keeps you in lane through the phase where your damage is still ordinary.
Magnet Storm (R) yanks scattered enemies into one clump around her: the piercing attacks from Spark Surge (E) run through the whole line and Ultrashock Laser (W) catches more than one per throw.
Tidecaller's Blessing (E) puts a slow on your next few auto-attacks: whoever tries to peel away stays in range while Lightning Crash (R) keeps extending. Aqua Prison (Q) and Tidal Wave (R) are two separate knock-ups.
Before level 5 you lose extended trades to lanes like Draven or Caitlyn: Unbreakable (E) eats their projectiles, and your rapid hits stack Concussive Blows (P) to four marks in a couple of trades.
Breath of Life (R) cleanses roots and stuns and hands out tenacity: against anything that stops you moving, which is the only thing that really kills you, it is the most direct answer there is. Milio sits at 48% in China, though.

Zeri, the Spark of Zaun, is a mobile Marksman in Wild Rift built around constant motion rather than the classic stand-and-shoot ADC pattern: her passive turns every basic attack into a rapid burst of bullets, and any attack speed above her personal cap converts straight into bonus attack damage. She blends physical DPS from her passive and Ultrashock Laser with magic damage from Burst Fire and her ultimate, weaving in Spark Surge dashes to stay just out of reach while she shreds. She rewards players who read terrain and fight positioning more than players who simply hold right-click, and once her attack-speed items come online she snowballs into one of the hardest carries in the game to pin down.
Skill order: W → Q → E - max Ultrashock Laser first for the biggest single-target and wall-detonated burst, Burst Fire second for wave clear and poke sustain, and Spark Surge last since even one point keeps its dash and cooldown-refund loop online (grab Lightning Crash at every chance).
Zeri's laning phase is her weakest window, so play patiently: poke with Burst Fire from max range for free trades and mana sustain, since a kill refunds the full cost, and avoid extended auto-trades before level 5 against lanes that hit hard early, like Draven or Caitlyn. Watch the lane and river walls too - a well-placed Ultrashock Laser through terrain punishes any support or laner who wanders into it, and is often her best source of early damage. Essence Reaver is a natural first item since it solves her early mana problems while still building toward her crit-damage identity. Prioritize safe farm over forcing fights, since her attack-speed conversion and item spikes make her dangerous rather than her base numbers, so always grab Lightning Crash the moment it unlocks at level 5 for her first real power spike.
By mid-to-late game, Zeri wants to enter fights a beat after her front line, using Spark Surge to flank through a gap or choke point rather than walking in straight since she isn't built to initiate. Ultrashock Laser and her piercing Spark Surge autos both reward grouped enemies, so look for an angle where one throw or one dash catches more than a single target. Pop Lightning Crash once several enemies are close enough to eat the initial nova, then keep kiting while landing hits to extend its duration and stack Overcharge move speed, since a fight that runs long enough for her ultimate to snowball usually ends in her favor. Navori Quickblades is often her strongest single power-spike item, since its crit-to-cooldown conversion stacks with Spark Surge's own hit-based cooldown refund and lets her dash in and out far more than the base cooldown suggests.
